Campey Turf Care's next Revolution

By Sue Meeken

The latest revolution in grounds maintenance equipment will be the highlight of the Campey Turf Care Systems stand at BTME 2006. Using the TurfWorks International Amenity Management System, greenkeepers can transform their greens triple mowers into multi-tasking workhorses. Cassette modules replace the cutting reels, enabling a host of other essential tasks to be carried out, all from the same system. A vibrating roller can also be added, which operates on twin rollers, or in combination with other cassettes.

A further attraction on the stand is a competition to win 12 months' unlimited use of a TurfWorks System. The lucky winner will receive a machine chassis plus a Thatchmaster Verticutting cassette and True Level Vibro Roller units, which will fit all popular greens mowers and lightweight fairway mowers.

Also featuring will be the Dakota Turf Tender top-dresser range, which can transport materials, top-dress and fill bunkers, meeting the demands of busy greens staff. The width of spread is easily adjusted and the rear discharge spinner mechanism is designed to distribute material evenly, whether wet or dry.

Another recent addition is the Dakota Turf Trailer range. The 550 model has a massive 5000kg payload capacity, yet exerts minimal pressureRubber-Dragmats-BTME-previe.jpg

A new introduction to the impressive Koro range will be unveiled at BTME. This is the new high-tipping Verticutter Collector, available as an additional option on the 1.2m Field TopMaker. By storing debris in its integral hopper for later disposal, the Verticutter Collector makes turf renovation on fine turf and golf greens a genuine one-man operation.

Koro equipment is renown for speedy sports ground rejuvenation without reliance on chemicals. In addition to this new feature, the Field TopMaker can be fitted with a special scarifying reel to remove thatch in one pass, faster and at greater depths than other machines

Campey Turf Care's BTME stand will also feature new Raycam rubber dragmats, designed for one pass operation without bruising or damaging fine turf. Dragmats are available in 4, 6, 8, and 10ft widths and can be hand-pulled, mounted on a tractor three-point linkage, or attached to turf utility vehicles.

Whatever your turfcare requirements, a visit to the Campey Turf Care stand will provide the answers.
