For the second year running, TYCROP Manufacturing of Rosedale, British Columbia, Canada, has been named the outright winner of Turfmech Machinery's Supplier of the Year award.

Judged by staff from Turfmech's sales, service, purchasing and accounts departments, the Supplier of the Year award is given by Turfmech to the supplier considered to have provided the best all-round support for its product range throughout the year.

Criteria on which the six competing suppliers to Turfmech Machinery during 2005 were judged included new product innovations and introductions; product readiness for sale; the speed and quality of the technical advice and assistance provided to Turfmech, its dealers and customers; the level of after-sales service and parts support; response to warranty claims; and the clarity and accuracy of accounting procedures.

Announcing the winner, Turfmech's managing director, Austin Jarrett, said that TYCROP had once again produced consistently good results across the board.

"The company is a world leader in turfgrass top dressing and materials handling technology and its Pro-Pass 180 low impact top dresser has been a best seller for us in the UK and Ireland for more than three years," he commented. "However, product innovation from TYCROP has not stood still either and we continue to see new ideas and introductions from the company designed to improve the quality of spread and ease the workloads of turf-care professionals."

Turning to product back-up, Mr Jarrett said that TYCROP provided a consistently professional service from start to finish. "New machines need very little attention from us prior to being delivered to dealers and we always receive a quick response and good support on service, parts and technical matters relating to TYCROP products. The company deserves its accolade."
