Challenging installation at Bovey Castle

North Staffs Irrigation has recently completed a challenging irrigation installation at one of the country's most luxurious leisure retreats.

£2million has been spent restoring the 18-hole championship golf course at Bovey Castle in Dartmoor National Park since it was purchased by entrepreneur developer Peter de Savary.

The system also extends to the course's practice greens and tees as well as the castle's lawn, putting green, croquet lawn and tennis court.

Director Martin Hinchliffe said: "This has certainly been one of the most challenging contracts we've worked on. The course is built on granite so we had to use a 13-tonne excavator to install the pipework. We're thrilled to have played our part in the course's restoration."
