CLS Sports targets North West "powerhouse"

Sports contractor CLS Sports is powering into the North West region under its programme of national expansion.

The sports pitch design, construction and maintenance specialist will use the new North West hub near St Helens as the focus for developing market opportunities for natural and synthetic turf projects across Lancashire, Cheshire, Wales and the Midlands.

The move signified "an exciting chapter" for CLS, announced Managing Director John Miller, "reinforcing our position in the sports construction industry".

The Guisborough, Cleveland-based family business has completed a swatch of key projects for football clubs, independent and public schools and universities, working with main contractors and developers to help transform sporting provision.

The depth and bredth of its in-house expertise allows CLS to deliver natural and synthetic pitches across many sporting disciplines and sizes, added North West Contract Manager Peter Valentine, who commands many years' experience and specialist knowledge of the sector.

"I plan to reinforce our reputation for exceptional quality and service and look forward to building new relationships in the region," he pledged.
