Situated on the shores of the Moray Firth, Nairn Dunbar Golf Club is a highly rated Scottish links championship course complete with gorse and whin lined fairways. Already renowned for its excellent condition, the club are committed to the continuous improvement of the playing surfaces for the benefit of members and visitors alike. TerraSpike-3.jpg

"That's why we've recently invested in a Wiedenmann Terra Spike, a specialist deepaeration machine that will relieve compaction and improve drainage on our fairways and greens", said club secretary Scott Falconer. "We purchased the XP160 version, which has a 1.6 metre working width and can penetrate the soil up to 40cm, because it is easy to adjust especially with the hydraulic depth control operated from the tractor cab. It also has a wide range of solid and hollow tines that provides the versatility for the one machine to complete a number of greens maintenance tasks."

The XP160 was purchased from Inverurie based Alpha Plus Groundcare, the local dealer for Wiedenmann UK who are located at Inchinnan on the outskirts of Glasgow.
