Crocodile Golf Draws High quality Audience

Following their significant entry during 2009 into the UK Golf maintenance and groundcare sector, Crocodile Golf recently held their inaugural 'Open Morning' for 2010 in late January.

This was the second in a series of 'invitation only' sessions which will provide opportunities during this year for key personnel within the Golf and Amenity sectors to attend the factory.

Here they were able to see just how this West Midland based steel manufacturer produces such a high quality range of replacement lawn mower parts, cylinder mower blades and bottom blades from boron-steel section rolled in their own rolling-mill, right through to precision grinding, painting and packaging.

Guests included a broad selection of turfcare professionals including Course Managers, Head Greenkeepers, Local Authority buyers and machinery maintenance contractors.

Crocodile Golf Managing Director Mr. Ian Marshall began the session with a brief introduction which included some historical background to the company and how the need to launch Crocodile Golf had been managed.

As an established tool manufacturer since 1874 the company saw the market for a range of cylinder mower blades and bottom blades emerge during the recession. These products are of the highest quality and are now being 'snapped up' across a wide range of courses from Scotland to Sussex and across the globe.

Extending the life of their existing machinery is paramount to all golf course managers and looks set to continue for a lengthy period. During the factory tour, these guests were extremely impressed with the quality and finish of these products and the high level of professionalism and interest taken in understanding their specific turfcare requirements.

They were also introduced to the expanding range of Crocodile Golf Products and learnt more of the new range of agronomy tools including soil samplers and golf hole cutters for soil profile and analysis. Many other new products under the Crocodile brand are in the pipeline.
