CWC Conference Ends with top Stadium visit

Complete Weed Control franchisees from across the UK gathered in Barcelona recently for their annual conference and rounded it off with a visit to one of Spain's most renowned sporting venues.

The two day event culminated in a coach tour, sponsored by Scotts, to the Nou Camp stadium, home of Barcelona Football Club, where the Grounds Manager highlighted the particular problems of maintaining a grass playing surface which has been constructed several metres below ground level, where shade and changing daylight create a unique environment.

CWC's Commercial Director Richard Minton described the conference as a great success, the best ever, providing the ideal opportunity for the Complete Weed Control network to benefit from each other's knowledge and experiences. He said "The visit to the Nou Camp stadium was a rare and enjoyable way for us all to see at first hand the problems encountered in maintaining a football pitch in such an extreme environment."
