Dennis and SISIS have announced that they will again be teaming up with Bowls Scotland to deliver a number of informative seminars, all designed to help club greenkeepers and volunteers maintain their bowling greens.
Dennis and SISIS have a long history of supporting the sport of bowls and their products are the preferred choice for greenkeepers all over the world. Their partnership with Bowls Scotland, the national governing body for outdoor lawn bowls, ensures that delegates will get advice on a range of subjects.
Last year's series of seminars brought together over two hundred bowls enthusiasts at a number of venues across Scotland and the popular events are set to be well-attended yet again.
Refreshments will be available upon arrival before Robert Christie, Director of Development for Bowls Scotland, begins with a warm welcome outlining the aims and strategy of the seminar. There will then be a great opportunity to learn more about obtaining grant and funding support for your bowls club.
Scott McNeil from Henderson Grass Machinery will then take to the stage to present a real-life case study of how his bowling club was able to improve the quality of its green and explain the methods they used to achieve it.
A complimentary lunch will signal the halfway point before delegates head outside to witness an on-green demonstration. This demonstration not only provides a perfect opportunity to see some of the sport's latest turf maintenance equipment in action but will also offer guidance in the way you prepare greens and provide delegates with advice on how to get the very best out of their equipment.
The last seminar of the day will see Greentech Sportsturf's Neil Mitchell offering his expertise on how to get the best value and best results from inputs such as fertilisers, fungicides, pesticides and grass seed.
To conclude each of the seminars, an open question and answer session will take place - presenting all delegates with the opportunity to ask any pressing questions relating to their own situations.
