Dennington Parish Council have taken delivery of a Ransomes Parkway 3 triple mower with Magna cutting units. The new mower, which replaces the Parish Council's existing Ransomes Parkway 2250, will help maintain Dennington's village green and community sports field. Longstanding Ransomes Jacobsen dealer, Bartram Mowers, delivered the mower at the beginning of this season
Purchased using Ransome's Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) scheme, the Parkway 3 has been completely refurbished at Ransomes European manufacturing facility in Ipswich, using the same parts and assemblies as standard equipment lines. All CPO equipment is given a multi-point inspection and backed by a one-year factory warranty.
Dennington is a small, picturesque village in North Suffolk with 600 residents. The Parish Council is comprised of nine Councillors, who unanimously agreed to purchase the Ransomes mower.
Robert Wardley has been a Councillor on Dennington Parish Council for 44 years and has held the position of Chairman for the past 30 years. Commenting on the purchase of the new machine he said,
"We first heard about the Ransomes CPO scheme at last year's Suffolk Show. Our budget as a Parish Council is limited, so when I discovered that we could purchase a fully refurbished machine at a significantly discounted price against the cost of a new machine, I was delighted."
"Having owned a Ransomes Parkway 2250 for five years, I knew that these machines were extremely reliable, which is essential when deciding which brand of mower to choose. Our limited budget means we have to keep repairs and maintenance to a minimum and running the old Parkway was proving expensive."
"I would like to thank Mick Shaw, Ransomes CPO Manager and all of the staff involved in the re-building of our mower. They have done a superb job and what was sold to us as a second-hand machine, has turned out to be what I would expect from a brand new factory-built mower."
