Dennis Bowls Seminar.jpgMaintaining their commitment to education, Dennis mowers have kicked off their 2010 series of Bowling Green Maintenance Seminars, starting in Leeds before moving onto a three day road show in Scotland, visiting Dundee, Bannockburn and Fenwick.

Whilst the outdoor conditions weren't great more than 150 groundsmen heard presentations from Richard Brown of British Seed Houses, Roy Daniels from the IOG, Dr Christian Spring, Jay Dobson and Fiona Crossly from the STRI, Ian Henderson from Golf Finance and grounds maintenance expert, Dave Bracey. Bowls Clubs, Local Authorities, Contractors and private users were amongst the attendees keeping the speakers busy with questions from the floor.

Alan Ronaldson, area representative for Dennis Mowers, gave 'on the green' demonstrations of the Dennis range of bowling green equipment including the renowned 'FT' mower, with its versatile cutting, scarifying and verticutting cassettes, the Razor Ultra 560, Verticut TT, S500 slotter and spiker with the Bray Hand Tools completing the demonstration equipment.

The Seminars are put together by Roger Moore, Customer Manager of Dennis, who was particularly pleased, "the programme content covered key maintenance topics presented by first class speakers which generated excellent delegate participation, the seminars have proven to be a resounding success". This was echoed by Mr Agnew of Craigie Bowling Club (Bannockburn) who added, "This is the third seminar I've attended from various companies and it was by far and away the best and most informative."

The Dennis seminar programme will continue throughout the year and interested attendees should keep watch in the press, or visit www.dennisuk.com for details.
