Later this year, Pitchcare will run its first 'Essential Management Skills' course, delivered by trainer and careers counsellor Frank Newberry. Frank has trained Groundsmen and Greenkeepers for more than 15 years and this new course is aimed at helping those in a supervisory or management position to acquire a range of vital management skills and put them into practice successfully in the workplace.

A course itinerary is shown below. Three months separate the two days so delegates have the opportunity to implement new techniques and then feed their experiences back to the group. Attendance certificates will be provided to delegates who complete the course. The cost of £239+VAT covers two days of training, all course notes and handouts, refreshments throughout the day, buffet lunch and a three-month 'Trainer Helpline' to Frank Newberry.
