0 First exhibitors confirmed for 2013 TGA Turf Show

TGA-LOgo.jpgSix high-profile companies started the year by confirming their presence at the Turfgrass Growers Association's Turf Show 2013.

John Deere, Cargotec, Barenbrug, Campey Turf Care Systems, Kubota and Limagrain will take the opportunity to promote their products and services to turf producers from the UK and beyond.

Focusing on all aspects of turf production, the biennial event attracts growers from as far afield as Italy, Slovenia and Norway, who visit to see demonstrations of the latest machinery and product innovations used in the growing and harvesting of quality cultivated turf.

This year's show is being hosted by Fineturf at the 135 acre turf farm run by Simon Hutton, at Honington, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, on Tuesday 9th July, with a turf show dinner that evening at the nearby De Vere Belton Woods Hotel.

"Once every two years the trade has a captive audience of turf growers eager to find out about the latest innovations," said TGA Chief Executive, Tim Mudge. "We're delighted that these companies are exhibiting and invite others who have relevant products or services to join them. Simon and the team at Fineturf have lots of plans for making the show the most interactive yet. It's going to be a great event."

All the information you need about the event, whether it's about exhibiting, sponsorship, or attending, is available on the Turf Show website at www.turfshow.co.uk. If you're a Twitter user, follow the TGA @TGATurfandWater and use hashtag #TurfShow2013.

The Turfgrass Growers Association is the only body in the UK and Ireland dedicated to the advancement of quality turf production. It's constantly seeking to improve the standards of its members through unity and the sharing of knowledge for the benefit of customers.

Formed in 1994 (then called TPI (UK) Ltd.) it became the Turfgrass Growers Association in 1997 and now comprises more than 60 members. Its member growers are collectively responsible for producing approximately 70% of the cultivated turf grown in the British Isles.
