After 30 years' using Toro equipment on its 18-hole parkland course, Ilkley Golf Club, in Yorkshire, has invested in its first ever dedicated fairway mower - a Reelmaster 5610.
"We've had Toro here since the 70s," says head greenkeeper Duncan Campbell, "but it's only now that we've purchased our first ever fairway mower. We decided to invest in a machine specifically designed to cut fairways, so we evaluated the Reelmaster alongside another make. I asked my greenkeeping team which one they wanted and the decision was unanimous.
"The result of this investment has been striking," adds Duncan. "The members are delighted. The course always looked great, but the Reelmaster has taken the presentation up a notch. It's like the icing on the cake. Its reliability and build quality are excellent, too."
Local dealer County Mowers provides the club with back-up and support. "They give us great service, I really can't fault them," says Duncan.
