Flooding returned to New Road this week.
Following yesterday's heavy rain the King's School pitch in New Road - which frequently floods when the River Severn bursts its banks - was again looking decidedly soggy this morning.
Groundsmen were on scene during the day pumping the water into the river.
Although no one from the school could be contacted for comment, a spokesman from Worcestershire County Cricket Club - which neighbours to New Road ground - said the standing water would not affect Saturday's 20-20 match against Durham or the start of the four-day LV= County Championship match against Hampshire on Sunday.
"Despite the flooding the drainage on the ground is very good," she said.
"It should all be gone by Saturday."
