0 Football team banned from 'unsafe' pitch

A Football club has hit out at council chiefs who have banned them from their home 'ground' leaving them little time to find alternative accommodation.
Monkseaton Hunting Lodge, who play in the Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League, had played their homes games at Churchill Playing Fields in Monkseaton.

But now they face the prospect of playing on a 'dangerously unsafe' pitch in Wallsend or playing all their games away after North Tyneside Council stepped in to prevent the team, and seven others, from playing at the fields.
