Who are you? Mick Curran, Head Groundsman, Newcastle United FC.

Family status? Married with three children.

Who's your hero and why? Sir Bobby Robson. He was manager when I first started at NUFC - he had an infectious personality that rubbed off on all of us here.

What would you change about yourself? To have a bit more hair.

What's your guilty pleasure? Too much chocolate.

What's been the highlight of your career so far? Becoming Head Groundsman of NUFC.

What are your pet peeves? Untidy workspaces and machinery.

If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? Majorca.

What's the best part of your job? End of season renovations.

… and the worst? Divoting in the cold December and January months.

Do you have a lifetime ambition? To travel the world.

Favourite record, and why? Paul Gascoigne - Fog on the Tyne!

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? The Wife!

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Take a holiday and think about future plans.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? A Harp - because I am always harping on!

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party? Sir Bobby Robson, Alan Shearer and Gary Speed.

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be and why? Any player that has worn the number 9 shirt for Newcastle United as there would be no greater feeling than scoring a goal for NUFC at St James Park.

Do you have any bad habits? I talk too fast and too much.

... or any good ones? I'm really easy going.

Do you go to bed worrying about the next day's workload? No, not anymore but that comes with experience.

What are you reading at the moment? - Hard copy or online? This questionnaire!

What's the best advice you have ever been given? You've made your bed, now lie in it - from my father.

What's your favourite smell? Steak and onions whilst they are being cooked.

What do you do in your spare time? Spend time with the wife and grandchildren.

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? Can I have some dark and light grass seed to make my grass look like the stripes on your pitch?

What's your favourite piece of kit? Toro ProCore.

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Dedicated, loyal, conscientious.

What talent would you like to have? To be able to fly a plane to get away from it all.

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Ban all goal-scoring knee sliding celebrations!
