Who are you? Simon White, Course Manager at The Chase Golf Club, Staffordshire.

Family status? Living with partner.

Who's your hero and why? My dad - I respect what he has achieved and he, along with my mother, instilled all the values I believe in and live by.

What would you change about yourself? Being slightly better organised!

What's your guilty pleasure? Peterborough United.

What do you drop everything for? My girlfriend, friends & family.

What's been the highlight of your career so far? The position of Course Manager at The Chase Golf Club, and working two European Tour events whilst at The Forest of Arden.

Glass half full or half empty? Definitely half full.

Climate change - fact or fiction? The climate is changing, but I think it's nothing more than mother nature balancing everything out!

What's your favourite season? Spring or autumn.

What are your pet peeves? Ignorance.

If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? Anywhere with my girlfriend.

What's the best part of your job? Working outdoors.

… and the worst? Uneducated/ignorant golfers who think they know your job better than you!

Do you have a lifetime ambition? Be successful and happy in everything I do.

Who wouldn't you like to be? The person sat next to me at football!

Favourite record, and why? One by U2 and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Both great songs.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? My girlfriend.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Celebrate!

What's the best advice you have ever been given? Treat others as you'd wish to be treated yourself.

What's your favourite smell? Freshly cut grass!

What do you do in your spare time? Play golf and watch football (Peterborough United and England).

What's your favourite piece of kit? The Verti-drain.

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? Golfers quote: "the greens are playing superb, but I wonder if you could change their colour as it doesn't appear to be the right shade of green??!!"

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Passionate, motivated and approachable.

What talent would you like to have? To be able to make ignorant golfers disappear!

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? More legislation for the implication of environmental issues/encouraging wildlife.
