saltex 2011 012Success on no fewer than five fronts means the Wiedenmann UK sales team has hit the exhibition season at full pace this autumn. The company's 20th anniversary, a Terra Spike aerator offered for charity, two awards at Saltex and a product launch has given everyone reason to smile.

To mark two decades in the turf care sector, the company is donating all proceeds from the sale of a platinum-painted Terra Spike GXi8 HD to charity. Already several bids in excess of £20k have been received, guaranteeing a minimum of £10,000 each for Cancer Research and The MS Society, the causes sharing the receipts.

Wiedenmann UK's stand also took gold in the IOG Saltex Stand Awards competition (300-399m² category). And adding to the celebrations, joint managing director of Wiedenmann Gmbh, Jürgen Wiedenmann presented the UK team with the European Importer of the Year for the eighth successive year.

Unveiled at the show was a new addition to the artificial turf maintenance fleet, the Terra Groom, a versatile lightweight brush which can also be used on natural surfaces.

Managing Director, David Rae, right, who founded Wiedenmann UK at just 24, welcomed the news of the first bids and said: "We are off and running. This is the start of a really good year for us. In Spring we will launch a further five new products during a dealer conference."

Bids for the charity machine close on October 28.
