Greenkeepers Survey on Michrodochium Patch Disease
European policy regarding disease control in turf is evolving. To beeffective, any new policy must acknowledge perspectives and behaviours fromthe field.
In order to promote more effective policy, we invite you to participate inour pilot survey on the strategies adopted by golf greenkeepers to controlMicrodochium patch disease.
This survey is part of a EU-funded project on policies for sustainabledevelopment (contract QLRT-2002-02718). It is implemented by Eco Innovation,a not-for-profit R&D organisation (eco-innovation.net), incollaboration with Royal Holloway(University of London).
We have designed a concise, user-friendly questionnaire and posted it onwww.eco-innovation.net/mpatch. We have left many questions optionalin order to make completion possible in less than 10 minutes.
We intend to leave this questionnaire open until Monday 22 May 2006 but itwould be extremely useful if we could receive as many replies as possible byWednesday 17 May, in order to take stock of initial results and startplanning for a replication in other countries.
We formally ensure you that your contact details and your data WILL NOT becirculated outside our research project or for any commercial purposes. Moreover the source of all data will be kept confidential.
The data will inform researchers, trainers and policy-makers. They willultimately benefit turf managers and golfers.
You will be offered to register for a free copy of the final researchdocument. Please forward this message to greenkeepers you think may beinterested in providing answers.
