GROOM-IT MULTI PURPOSE BRUSH FOR BLAKEDOWN

GroomIt 11.jpg

Groom-It is a multi-purpose, trailed brush that's ideal for working in sand dressing on synthetic surfaces and Steve Buckingham, Managing Director of the Banbury based company said,

"This new piece of equipment is ideal for the final preparation of the sand filled synthetic pitches that we construct. It comes as a standard 1.83m width, but we can double the working area with the optional wing attachments. It's very easy to operate, especially as it's tool-free to set up. The other attraction is the synthetic turf rake attachment, which has adjustable spring tines for rubber filled surfaces. It's equally at home on natural turf where we use it for working in top dressings and standing the grass up prior to mowing."

The Groom-It was supplied by the Esher branch of groundscare dealer Ernest Doe and Sons and is distributed in the UK by Sportsrounds Ltd, part of the Fairways Group with head office in Inchinnan near Glasgow.

Established in 1968 in the rural village of Blakedown in Worcestershire, the Blakedown Group has grown and diversified into a national company with five regional offices and encompassing three distinct divisions: Blakedown Landscapes, Blakedown Sport and Play and Nutruvate.

Blakedown Sport and Play was formed in 1983 and specialises in the construction of a wide range of sports and play surfaces. One of their most prestigious contracts was the athletics training track for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester
