Groundsman aerators top choice for Test grounds

England's top cricket groundsmen have given Groundsman Industries' pedestrian aerators a unanimous seal of approval.

Synergy Products, distributor of the Groundsman range, has recently supplied machines to all but two of the country's Test grounds including Lord's, Old Trafford, Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and Durham, which became the seventh venue for the England cricket team's home Test matches last summer.

Steve Birks, Head Groundsman at Trent Bridge was looking for an aerator that was powerful, quick and rugged. He tested several, but was impressed with the all round merits of the 460SDR model: "It's incredibly quick. Some of the other machines we tested would do the square once in a day but the Groundsman could cover it 10 times easily. There's real power behind it too. We were able to use it effectively on the wicket, even in the middle of summer."
