Rod Bransgrove, the chairman of Hampshire, is planning to spend a further £35 million on developing the Rose Bowl in Southampton into a venue that he feels is deserving of Test cricket. He will address the two main areas of concern, in so far as the ECB and many spectators are concerned, namely the state of the pitches and access to and from the ground.
