The device posed no threat to the public but was removed from the course, police said
An inactive World War II bomb was found at a golf club in Merthyr Tydfil.
The discovery was made by groundsmen at the Cilsanws Golf Club near Cefn Coed in Merthyr Tydfil on Thursday night.
An Army bomb disposal team dispatched to the scene to handle the device, but found it was inactive and posed no threat to the public.
They removed the bomb from the course.
Two police vehicles left the site at 8.30pm after it was discovered there was no danger on the course.
"There will be no new dips in the golf course from the device or anything like that," a police spokesman said.
