Craig Jack has been appointed as Sales Director of SIS Manufacturing Ltd, the synthetic turf manufacture and installation operation that has been established as a sister company to the Support in Sport Group Ltd.

Craig will be promoting the newly established operation in Maryport, Cumbria. It will bring the same high standards to artificial grass systems that SIS has already established for natural turf surfaces at all levels of sport.

George Mullan, Chief Executive Officer of SIS, is delighted by Craig's appointment. "This is a major coup. We sought someone with broad and in-depth knowledge of the industry, combined with a successful sales approach. Craig's name kept being mentioned by industry experts we spoke to, and we are thrilled that he has joined our sales team."

Craig has no less than 18 years' experience of the worldwide sports and flooring industry. He followed a 4-year apprenticeship in New Zealand to gain an HNC from the New Zealand Trades Certification Board. Recognised as one of the best in its field, this qualification covers estimating, planning, installation and contract management.

SIS is investing considerably in the newly acquired Maryport facility to make the artificial turf products that meet customers' needs, with guaranteed quality standards. A network of key distributors is being established in the UK and Ireland.

"There is huge growth in the use of artificial turf for training surfaces and indoor facilities at every level of sport," says George Mullan. "SIS Manufacturing is producing synthetic grass for football, rugby, hockey, cricket, tennis and multi-sports areas. Surfaces are also rapidly becoming popular in residential, leisure and promotional applications, and so Craig joins us at a time of exciting growth."

"SIS offer a customised product when designing natural grass pitches, even growing turf that exactly meets the location where it will be played on. We will now offer synthetic systems tailored to users' specific needs too."
