Industry urged to support turf show

David Clarke, Chief Executive of the Turfgrass Growers Association (TGA) has urged the industry to show its support for natural turf by attending its 2005 turf show.

The biennial event is being hosted by Simon Hutton at Fineturf on 29 and 30 June at Honington, near Grantham, and will include a wide range of activities, events and demonstrations for everyone involved in the growing, buying, selling, laying and after-care of turf for amenity, sports and landscaping.

"Much has been said recently about the impact of artificial surfaces on the future of natural turf. There will be no better opportunity than this for the industry to unite and showcase the wealth of expertise and superb products that combine to make TGA cultivated turf the best available.

We've already received generous sponsorship from Advanta, Trebro, DLF-Perryfields, Barenbrug, British Seed Houses, Hallmarket, MJT Contracts, Richard Campey, Moffet and BLEC. There are other sponsorship opportunities available and we hope many more companies will choose to exhibit their products to keen visitors. We also hope that all turf professionals will make a note in their diaries to visit the show and enjoy a great day out!"

Visit www.turfgrass.co.uk for further information and to register.

If you're interested in sponsorship or exhibiting at the show, please contact David Clarke on 01728 638726 or email davidclarke@turfgrass.co.uk.
