British Seed Houses' growing agricultural and amenity seeds business will be accommodated through an expansion of facilities at its Witham St Hughs site on the Nottinghamshire / Lincolnshire border.
The new development increases the company's warehousing facilities to 80,000 square feet and adds an integral modern office complex, providing significant logistical advantages for the business going forward.
"This development reduces our need for outside storage and allows us to centralise a lot of our GB seed cleaning and mixing procedures onto a single site, increasing overall efficiency through a streamlining of operations," explains British Seed Houses' managing director William Gilbert.
"We shall continue to operate with a strong and important strategic base in the southern half of the country through our Avonmouth facilities, so all customers will benefit from this investment. This is a very positive move that is geared to enhancing all aspects of our operation in the future, from improved product storage and packaging to faster order response times."
