Broderick's Grass Machinery of Newtonabbey in County Antrim, has recently sold the first Jacobsen TR3 tees & surrounds mower into Northern Ireland. The Ransomes Jacobsen dealer has delivered the newly introduced machine to Omagh Golf Club, the 18-hole members club, situated just a mile south the town centre.

Head greenkeeper Richard Barbour looked at all the current machines available and after a demonstration by Broderick's selected the new TR3.

"It's a great machine", he said, "It uses the same tried and tested cutting reels as the Jacobsen Tri-King and has a left hand bias making it ideal for trimming bunker edges. The hydrostatic transmission which drives all three wheels provides excellent traction."

Omagh Golf Club has an interesting layout as the two sets of nine holes are separated by a main road. The lower nine runs alongside the Drumragh River giving it particular scenic splendour.
