0 John Nicholson becomes a GTC Quality Assured Training Provider

GTC.jpgDavid Golding, GTC's Education Director is pleased to welcome John Nicholson into the GTC's Quality Assured Scheme and says, whilst greenkeepers and Course Managers have every opportunity to develop their own knowledge and skills in all aspects of course maintenance and management there are certain subjects or political decisions where they benefit from a specialist, woodland management is one such subject.

John Nicholson has for many years shared his knowledge and specialist experience in woodland management with golf clubs and greenkeepers throughout Britain and abroad and is delighted to become a GTC Quality Assured Training Provider.

John says. "I have a particular interest in education and becoming a GTC Quality Assured Training Provider will allow him to engage with more golf club employers and Course Managers who might require advice and guidance on the thorny subject of Woodland Management.

John adds, I have seen how greenkeepers have become so professional through better education and training being available and hopefully to help further I have devised a workshop entitled, "How to see the wood for the trees" - politics, persuasion and prescription" which is designed for golf club employers, proprietors as well as Course Managers/Head Greenkeepers.

For further information on this workshop and the GTC's Quality Assured Scheme including accredited Centres and Training Providers please contact The GTC: Tel: 01347 838640 Email: golf@the-gtc.co.uk
