Willie Harvey, Rutherglen Glencairn manager, hailed the club's committee men who worked tirelessly to get the Celsius Stadium pitch in perfect condition.
The Glencairn gaffer praised the club's men on and off the pitch as the excellent surface at the Celsius Stadium played its part in helping his side to a victory.
The Glens ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Blantyre Victoria last weekend which moved them up two places in the league and helped them leap-frog their opponents in the process.
But, after a terrific performance on the park, Harvey did not forget about committee members Eddie Smith and Andy McFadden, who work tirelessly each week to make the playing surface as slick as possible.
The manager said: "Credit has to go to them. We appreciate all the work that Eddie and Andy do.
"I'm just glad we got the right result to thank them for all the work they do for the club.
"The park was in excellent condition and it helps with the type of football we like to play.
"On a pitch like that we can be a very hard team to beat because we are fit and fast and can be physical when we need to be."
