Kawasaki Announces Two Winners of Saltex Competition

Press Releasein Industry News

Traf 1Kawasaki Engine & Power Products' Saltex competition drew such a fantastic response that they have been able to announce two winners, Julian Gurney of Leeds Castle and Robin Cox of Timco Designs Ltd.

Entrants had the opportunity to win any Kawasaki Power Product from their current popular and durable range and the prizes were presented at the winners' local Kawasaki Power Product dealerships, Trafalgar Cleaning Equipment of West Sussex and GAB of North Somerset.

Julian Gurney and the Leeds Castle team chose the heavy duty, double handled KBH35B Brush Cutter which was presented to Julian and his colleague, James McConkie, by Trafalgar Cleaning Equipment's Martin Bremner. Julian said "The Brush Cutter will be able to handle the Castle's 500 acres and the team will be fighting over who gets to use it first. With the milder weather on its way we'll soon be putting it to the test."

Robin Cox was presented with the KCL525A Long Shaft Hedge Clipper by Steve Gale of GAB. Robin said "We have 10 acres to maintain which is surrounded by tall hedges so I chose the Hedge Clipper because it's going to make my life so much easier - no more climbing up ladders!" Mike Bennington demonstrated the model to Robin, which has a reach of 2m and 12 variable positions, saying "Serviced regularly with good quality 2-stroke oil, this machine will give many years of good service."

GAB 1Glenn Lindsay, Kawasaki's UK Product Manager, was on hand at both presentations and said "It's been great to meet both prize winners, Robin and Julian have said that their teams already have a Kawasaki Product or two so they know how reliable they are. Our dealers have also gone through the key features and operation of the new Products so they can get straight out and concentrate on the important jobs in hand."
