KILLERTON HOUSE GOES ELECTRIC

Killerton had the E-Plex on trial two years ago, but were not able to raise the funds to purchase it, and so carried on using their existing diesel equipment. However the electric mower left such a lasting impression that when the budget was set for this year, it was agreed that the E-Plex was a necessity.

Head Gardener at Killerton House Andrew Mudge explained, "The main hall of Killerton House looks out over the surrounding park and gardens, and we regularly hire this room out for hospitality purposes. The diesel mower, emitted fumes and was also very noisy, which was spoiling our guest's enjoyment of the house and its gardens.

"The E-Plex meets all our requirements for a fine turf mower; it is pollution free and is considerably more economical than our previous equipment; the quality of the cut is superb and the battery back up supply is also excellent. To top it off, the service that we have received from our dealers P J Flegg has also been of the highest quality."
