Landini PowerLift + flail.jpgLandini is showcasing a unique machine for the amenity management, highways maintenance, greenwaste handling and forestry sectors at SALTEX 2008 in the AEA machinery demonstration arena.

The PowerLift is a new high-performance telescopic handler that can tackle all manner of tasks from stockpiling or loading greenwaste and filling road salt spreaders to offloading pallets of turf.

But in addition, an integral three-point linkage and pto system at the back of the machine enables the PowerLift to tackle many of the jobs traditionally carried out by a tractor - grass verge flail mowing and hedge cutting; operating a powered tiller or stone burier for landscaping operations; powering a wood chipper or composting shredder.

For work such as verge mowing, operators can make use of the reverse drive facility - a telehandler feature unique to the Landini PowerLift - and get a clear view of the work they are doing.

With a powerful engine and pto, hydrostatic transmission with three-speed gearbox, high road speed and robust build, the PowerLift represents a new multi-tasking concept in this field.

See it in action at the AEA's SALTEX 2008 live demonstration arena.
