Barnham Broom Golf & Country Club, situated in rolling Norfolk countryside just 15 minutes from Norwich city centre, has recently taken delivery of a fleet of 25 E-Z-GO golf cars from local dealer Bartram Mowers.
Head Greenkeeper, Brian Lemmon, is responsible for the management of the buggy fleet at the extensive facilities that make up the Barnham Broom complex. As well as two 18-hole championship courses, it has extensive practice facilities including three academy holes, a hotel, spa, and health and fitness club together with timeshare apartments.
Commenting on the decision to order the electric version of the E-Z-GO TXT golf car he said, "Bartram Mowers are our local dealer for turf maintenance equipment and their service has always been first class. They are also the E-Z-GO distributor for the region so they were an obvious first call.
"We chose the electric golf car due to the nature of the facilities here. With a hotel and timeshare apartments we need quiet and efficient machines, but with the durability to cope with the demands of the two courses. These golf cars have onboard chargers and an automated battery maintenance system so maintaining them in tip-top condition is simple.
"Like all golf car fleets, when properly managed - which means clean, fully charged, on display and easily accessible - they are an excellent revenue stream for the business."
