Lawn Master - An invitation to find out more at SALTEX

Bob UnderhillAn invitation to find out more at SALTEX from Bob Underhill.

You may have seen adverts and articles about Lawn Master on Pitchcare over the past few years.

Are you one of the growing number of groundsmen and greenkeepers considering their position at work and looking at options for the future? Are you looking to have greater flexibility, more control and earn more money?

I'd like to invite anyone who'd like to find out more about Lawn Master to come and have an informal chat at this year's SALTEX show. I'll be outside the main bar near the Grandstand on Wednesday 3rd September from 2pm-4pm and on Thursday from 10am-12noon and would be pleased to answer any questions you might have.

About Lawn Master

You can do the job you love and are trained for and earn the money you deserve!

Franchise advisors thought I was insane when I decided to go down a completely different route with pre-experienced franchisees. This goes against the more traditional model of franchising, which states that through franchising you can turn a bus driver into a plumber, but I knew that putting grounds care professionals in touch with consumers who wanted their lawns looked after by knowledgeable people was a winning formula.

My potential to sell franchises using this model is far less than for other franchise companies but I've been determined to only sell to people who have a passion for turf care. Our customers deserve that and Lawn Master's reputation depends on it - that's why you'll only see our adverts in magazines like Pitchcare.

There are no gimmicks with Lawn Master. Our name on a fertiliser bag would not make our customer's lawn better.

I always notice how some companies shout that they are the largest in the UK, but are very reluctant to say that they are the most competent. We started six new outlets in 2007, a mixture of Head Greenkeepers and qualified groundsmen including Spencer Haines, (Course Manager), Andrew Clarke (Head Greenkeeper) and Iain Bullock (Cricket Groundsman) to name a few.

In 2008, another three highly experienced golf greenkeepers joined us as well as an ex-Arsenal Football Club groundsman. We're on target to have 65 outlets in the next five years but I'm in no rush - I just want the right people.

Becoming a Lawn Master franchisee is not a get-rich-quick scheme, but the earning potential is extremely high.

Our franchise package makes it easy for experienced groundsmen and greenkeepers to own their own business and our funding options make buying it affordable. If you need help with funding, you need to talk to us. We need the right people - experienced, motivated and with some business acumen. Experienced groundsmen don't want to get lost in a sea of untrained people. In return, you'll receive all the support you need with your new venture and join a network of like-minded professionals.

If this sounds like it might be the right move for you, please do come and see me at the show. If you can't make it, contact me on 0845 60 22 054 or email me at bob.underhill@lawnmaster.co.uk. I'll send you a prospectus and put you in touch with other turf professionals who have already joined us.
