Lely UK named Otterbine's European distributor of the year
The company fought off stiff competition from other distributors of Otterbine's pond and lake aerators and aerating fountains across Europe, winning the accolade for its overall performance and commitment to the Otterbine brand.
The award is judged on everything from sales performance and internal processes, to growth strategy and marketing efforts.
Reg Varney, Otterbine's international region manager, comments: "Our 2013 European Distributor of the Year Award was a very close run thing. Otterbine has a fantastic worldwide network of professional and committed distributors supporting our end-users.
The award is decided on many aspects and in 2013 Lely managed to edge ahead of the competition with an all-round performance to be proud of.
"We are pleased to recognise distributors for their efforts across the entire distribution process, which includes sales, marketing, service support, stock control and logistics. Lely did a great job in every area."
Lely attributes its success to a lot of hard work - and last summer's glorious sunshine! The company's Otterbine sales representative Roger Lupton says: "It wasn't an easy year, but it was a rewarding one.
In terms of the economy, Europe dipped a little as the UK picked up, plus we had a lot of sunshine, which helps with sales of products like these. We won some significant installation projects with UK councils."
