Winter is here and, in the event of a sudden snow fall, those responsible for keeping roadways and paths clear need to be prepared! The trouble with this kind of seasonal task is that costly, dedicated equipment is often left lying idle during long periods of the year. With these less frequent jobs, therefore, it makes sense to purchase an attachment which can be driven off an existing power source.
The best example of this is Etesia's Hydro 124 ride-on rotary. With its wide range of attachments, this 25hp Lombardini diesel-powered machine is cost effectively transformed into multi-tasking, all-year-round workhorse.
For snow clearance there is the MN124 snow plough kit complete with wheel chains: The hydraulically operated 13.5m snow blade can be angled to the right or left and lifted for transportation between sites. It is easily attached to the Hydro 124 without the use of special tools. Wheel chains provide grip for quick and safe snow clearance on icy paths, roadways, car parks, play areas and other hard surfaces.
For distributing salt or sand on icy roads, walkways and other exposed sites the ME124 Spreader is easy-to-attach and is mounted on three wheels for manoeuvrability. During the growing season, this unit is ideal for general broadcasting of fertilizer, top dressing and sand over large areas of turf and grass, such as fairways and other sports surfaces.
In cold, snowy or wet conditions, the MY124P/MY124C glass-panelled cab with optional heater can be fitted to the Hydro 124D to give total operator comfort. This purpose-built unit has a front opening windscreen with sun visor, wiper and optional screen washer. Access is from either side via a choice of glass or soft panelled doors. In summer months, the cab will also protect the operator from dust and dirt.
Other accessories include a 1.5m scarifier for use on wide open spaces; and a street cleaning kit comprising 1.35m rotary brush, with gutter brush and collector.
In addition to offering superb mowing and collecting, Etesia's Hydro 124D makes light work of picking up leaves and litter - all debris is efficiently gathered into the mower's grass collector..
