New Paladin Dual gives a finer finish

By Phil Evans

One of the exciting new range of products being shown by Lloyds this year is the award winning PALADIN DUAL turf mower, hailed by many Golf Course Managers, Head Greenkeepers and Groundsmen to be one of the best machines for fine turf. lloydsPaladinDual.jpg

The PALADIN DUAL is the latest greens mower to be launched by Lloyds. This model has been developed to give the precision adjustment demanded by the requirement of today's fine turf managers. For the very best finish an infinitely variable adjustment is required to give the perfect cut. This has been developed from the Lloyds Paladin TG but provides the same features as the TG without the groomer being fitted. The front grooved front roller can be located closely back to the cutting cylinder thus ensuring the shortest roller distance, to follow the tight contours of golf greens etc. The dual adjusters located on each sideplate effect the front roller adjustment. If desired the groomer can also be retro fitted at a later date, allowing upgrade without replacement should the users requirements change.

The design has kept parts to a minimum therefore the quality, robustness and ease of use is ensured as with all Lloyds' equipment. For maintenance the cutting cylinder is removable within 5 minutes retaining the easy maintenance feature of all Lloyds machines. Available in 21" & 24" widths the Paladin Dual is supplied with infinitely variable height adjusters, grooved front roller, a choice of 5,9 or 11 bladed cutting cylinders.

All machines have articulated steering and four equally sized wheels ensuring the tractor and equipment always steer on track and coupled with a stabilising system that ensures constant traction and stability in extreme situations.

MANOEUVRABILITY

The compactness and manoeuvrability plus a 4 option drive system, allows low and high range transportation with speeds up to 40kph. Two optional ranges for working both normal and high (which are programmable according to working conditions) make these machines extremely versatile.

The Summerpark is available with 34 & 42hp engines, front PTO and 3 point linkage fitted with a 75 litre per minute equipment pump. This is used to power the cylinder mower outfits, rotaries, sweepers and other hydraulically powered equipment.

The Multipark is available with engines ranging from 23 to 88 hp and in addition has front and rear PTO shafts with 3 point linkage, it is fitted with either a single or two man cab and has many options which can be tailored to suit customer requirements.

Both machines are available as tractor units only or as outfits mounted with 3 & 5 cylinder mowers, which can be used for fairways or rough areas. These can then be quickly changed over to 1.5m & 1.8m rotary decks with either manual or hydraulic height adjustment as well as, flail mowers or sweepers in various widths.
