Long service celebration at Bernhard
COO, Peter Wood said, " Kevin was completely surprised by the celebration presentation at the Haverhill factory where he works. He had no idea that we were organising it. I suspect if he'd known he'd have made a run for it!
Kevin joined the company in 1980 as a Paint Sprayer and has been working with us ever since. He is such an easy man to be around and we have been very lucky indeed to have him with us. There is nothing he doesn't know about his craft."
Kevin said, "I was very taken aback by the presentation and had no idea it was planned. It was a nice surprise although I am not one for the limelight."
Kevin left school at 15 to work for Woolworths and over the years worked for a variety of companies paint spraying. "I joined Bernhard when I was 34 and I've been here ever since. They have grown a lot since I started and I was very pleased when we moved to the new factory in 2013. The facilities are so much better and we all have a lot more room which makes my job so much more efficient."
Kevin was born in London in 1955 and moved to Haverhill 36 years ago. He lives in the town with his wife Shirley. They have 4 sons and 2 step sons ranging from 20 to 34 years old.
When he is not working Kevin likes gardening and keeping fit at the local gym.
