Love is Blue

Neil Pudney, Head Groundsman at St John's School, Leatherhead was in the market to replace his Auto-Roller. After all his old machine had been rolling the school cricket pitches since 1963 and after over forty years of faithful service was heading for well deserved retirement.

Neil visited the Auto-Roller manufacturer, Autoguide, at their Wiltshire base and there he saw the 'special' they were preparing for the forthcoming Saltex show. He was so impressed he ordered the actual show model there and then. Neil said, "The roller looked stunning in a striking shade of Midnight Blue rather than the usual green and was fitted out with headlights. I thought it looked great and couldn't miss this opportunity to buy this 'one off'."

A deal was struck and the rest is history. Neil now can't wait for delivery of his new Auto-Roller and reap the benefits of the powered steering, electric start and hydrostatic drive on his new machine, features that just were not around in 1963.
