0 LV=CC points change for 2010

Durham will defend their LV= County Championship title under new regulations regarding points awarded for wins and draws Teams will receive 16 points for a win and three for a draw (14 points for a win and four for a draw in recent years).

Bonus points remain unchanged (a maximum of five batting points and three bowling points available during each side's first innings) but the threshold for achieving them has reduced to 110 overs (from 120 overs in 2009).

The use of a heavy roller will be banned after the commencement of any LV + County Champion Matches next year.

The changes have been approved in an effort to encourage and incentivise positive cricket throughout the season as well as maintaining and promoting the preparation of good cricket pitches.

It will be interesting to see how these new changes affect the game .
