Suffolk-based sports equipment manufacturer, Mark Harrod Ltd, was main attraction at Europe's largest football event, the Grass Roots Show, at the NEC last week.
The family-run business, a headline sponsor of Grass Roots 2011, was hailed by top-footballer Robbie Savage as being integral to the growth of football and sports among young people.
Former Premier-league player Savage was clearly impressed by Mark Harrods wide range of high-quality training equipment and dedication to sports in schools, colleges and clubs around the UK.
Stopping to talk with Mark, Robbie Savage commented that "...companies like Mark Harrod are the lifeblood of Grass Roots football."
Savage happily stopped for a photograph with Mark and son Matthew before heading back onto the stand to grapple with Mark's ever-popular 'Agility' training ball which did its best to live up to its name and keep the ex-footballer on his toes.
The stand was hugely popular with event attendees keen to practise their skills in goals, rebound nets and a wide range of other training equipment.
Mark Harrod Ltd is continuing to grow, with many new lines which include Rounders, Lacrosse, Table Tennis, Games Tables, and Volleyball. They also provide a range of Pitch Maintenance products, helping clubs and other sporting associations to maintain a high standard for their clubs and teams.
