The 7500 trays that hold the pitch together at the Millennium Stadium will be moved out of the stadium in two halves.

The first move will take place on Sunday 5th June from 5pm and all of the required pallets need to be out of the stadium by 12 noon on Monday 6th June, in time for the Speedway guys to start building the track.

The second move will probably start on Monday 13th June late morning, when the remaining 3000 pallets will be cut up and transported to a site nearby. The pitch will then be put back together in its jigsaw format during Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The reason for mentioning this is that I am looking for a few skilled Groundsmen/Greenkeepers who fancy the opportunity of working on this operation. It will of course be paid work, and the shifts will be based on 12 hours at a time. I will be making up the numbers with agency staff, in total there will be around 60 people involved, however I would prefer to have a peppering of skilled guys involved in the move, to help keep an eye on the others.
