More development at Charterhouse

Extensive knowledge of the gardening and grounds care equipment industry will hold Phil Yates in good stead in his new position as Business Development Manager at Charterhouse Turf Machinery.

Phil will be promoting the equipment in the company's Connoisseur range, targeted at owners of large gardens and estates, and the Charterhouse Richmond line-up for professional foresters and groundsmen.

Phil started in the grounds care industry in 1969, with Wolf Tools. He then worked for Eastern Tractors, in Bishop's Stortford, as Honda Trade Sales Salesman. He subsequently went to work for Ariens UK and Lely, before forming his own business, Blades Garden Machinery, in 1984. In 2001 he joined the grounds care equipment dealers, Tylers.

Phil, who is 55 and lives in Cambridgeshire, is an avid Rugby Union fan and still plays for veterans team.

"I'm looking forward to my new role with Charterhouse immensely," he says. "My job will be to find new dealers for our Connoisseur and Richmond ranges, who will then make customers familiar with the benefits this equipment can bring them."
