0 New Building Development underpins British Seed Houses' Business Growth

William Gilbert

The expansion of facilities at British Seed Houses' Lincoln site is part of an on-going investment strategy to underpin growth and product development in both the agricultural and amenity sectors of the business, says the company's Managing Director, William Gilbert.

The recently approved plans will see an increase in warehousing capacity at the site by one-third (up to a total of 80,000 square feet) and add an integral modern office complex.

"We're introducing more efficient systems that will be better suited to higher standards of product storage and faster order response times, so we expect all our customers to benefit from this development," he added.

"In addition, the increased storage capacity will help to accommodate not only increasing sales but also new product lines and the improved packaging that we're now using."

Work on the new building will start this autumn and the new facilities are expected to be in use by June 2007.
