Briggs & Stratton's new European marketing manager for its Engine Division is Vincent Bowden. Forty-year-old Bowden, who has held a number of International Marketing roles takes up a newly created position at Briggs & Stratton, the world's largest producer of air-cooled petrol engines for outdoor power equipment.

Bowden, an experienced Marketing professional, most recently held the role of european marketing director at Curver, part of the Newell Rubbermaid Group. Responsible for all product categories within Curver, Bowden has experience of the Garden segment and the seasonal dynamics of this product sector.

"Marketing Briggs & Stratton engines is a great opportunity and converting a strong market share position into real consumer brand awareness will be the primary challenge. Briggs & Stratton's core values of quality, reliability and innovation should add value to the end product. My main objective in this new role will be to make Briggs & Stratton a 'must have' product feature in the Consumer buying decision", is Bowden's comment on his new position.
