The newly formulated Bayer product, Finale® 150, is now available. This comes at a key time, when grass is beginning to grow again. The product is used for controlling grasses and broad-leaved weeds as well as preparing sports-turf for line-marking. And it's selling fast.

It replaces the discontinued Finale® 120 (MAPP 10092) product, which should no longer be in use.

Finale® 150 is a new stronger product than the old Finale® 120 and therefore the application rates on the label are lower.

According to Dave Orchard from Bayer, less of the product now needs to be applied. "The new formulation is supplied in the same sized five litre container as the old product, however the new formulation is stronger, meaning the application rates are lower, but with the same results."

"It must only be applied using low drift nozzles and a sprayshield. Finale® 150 will stay where it's applied and won't drift onto other areas." says Dave.

The new formulation costs more per five litres, but due to the extra linear metres of application it works out at a similar cost per linear metre between the two formulations.

"Popular with turf managers, the product is selling fast, and what we need to get across to our customers is that the linear metre application with the new formulation is the same," adds Dave.

To reinforce existing lines:

The discontinued Finale® 120 formulation at five litres would cover 133,300 linear metres

The new Finale® 150 formulation at three litres can cover 222,166 linear metres

This means that the new formulation will give you 66.6% more application than the old formulation.
