A TEENAGER has bagged a role of a lifetime.

Nineteen-year-old Jack Davies is now helping to keep the hallowed turf at Parc y Scarlets pitch perfect.

And it's largely thanks to Swansea Council's lifelong learning and employment training team (Llets) which took him under its wing at the age of 16 and helped convert his enthusiasm into a worthwhile career with training and funding.

Jack from Gorseinon, said: "I love my job here. I am so grateful for all the support I have received.

"I have no doubt that I wouldn't be employed at Parc y Scarlets if I hadn't completed my training with Llets."

Jack is now enjoying full-time employment at the stadium where he is said to be gaining a reputation for his enthusiasm and perfectionism when it comes to the cutting, fertilising and marking of the pitch.
