Lees Hall Golf Club is an 18-hole, 6,171 yard, par 71 parkland course situated three miles south of Sheffield with commanding views over the city. It has over 750 members, so the demands on the course and greenkeeping team can be extensive.

This season they have added to their turf maintenance fleet with the purchase of two Jacobsen Tri-King tees and surrounds mowers from Palmers Groundcare, their local dealer based at Selby. "We are part way through the process of upgrading a whole range of equipment", said head Greenkeeper David Winton. "The Tri-Kings are working well and we are currently evaluating Jacobsen fairway and semi-rough mowers for the next phase of our upgrade.

"To ensure that our machines are kept in tip top condition we have purchased two Bernhard grinders, also from Palmers. We have an Anglemaster 1000 especially for bottom blades and an Express Dual 3000 that can regrind complete cutting units in-situ. This means that we can keep the machines on the course at all times, without the need to call out a specialist engineer to maintain the units."
