Etesia Scottish Dealers Stand Scotsturf 2009.jpgScottish dealers Alex McDougall (Mowers) Ltd and Angus Chainsaws Services put on a joint display of Etesia ride-on and pedestrian rotary mowers and brushcutters at this year's Scotsturf. They report that the star of the stand - Etesia's brand new Biocut SKM ride-on mulching mower - attracted much interest, mainly as a result of its multi-functional ability to cope with a wide variety of mowing applications.

Powered by a well proven Kawasaki 15hp petrol engine, this Biocut SKM 85cm ride-on offers speedy and cost effective mulching mowing - no time is wasted emptying a grass box and landfill charges are eliminated. The machine has hydrostatic transmission with variable mowing speeds of up to 10km/h in forward and 7.5km/h in reverse.

To add to its versatility, Biocut SKM's rugged deck has a built-in side-discharge deflector for cut-and-drop applications and a towing hitch is fitted to enable trailed turfcare attachments to be added.

Most impressive of all, Etesia's R & D team have designed the machine so that the cutting deck can quickly and easily be replaced with an optional brushcutting deck, enabling this versatile workhorse to tame scrubland, bracken and young saplings.

The compact size of the Biocut SKM makes it ideal for transporting in a transit or trailer and mobile grass cutting teams can expect to get up to 5 hours mowing from the 10 litre fuel tank.

Commenting on this new product, Etesia dealer Alex McDougall says, "In this day and age when budgets are tight, our customers are looking for multi-tasking machines that cost effectively enable them to use a single power source to carry out a number of grounds maintenance jobs. In this respect, Biocut SKM certainly fits the bill."
