New Recruit at Barenbrug

Specialist grass seed breeder Barenbrug has announced the appointment of David Greenshields as its new regional sales manager for the north of England and the Borders.

With a Master's degree in Environmental Biology from St Andrews University in Scotland and a PhD in Plant Science from Edinburgh University, David, 29, is well equipped to offer technical assistance to a broad range of clients. His strong academic background is also reinforced by recently gained experience in greenkeeping.

David originally hails from the north east of England, but has been living in Edinburgh for the last 10 years. An avid golfer with a handicap of 2 and with a passion for all sports in general, he believes this passion together with his knowledge of the region will be of further benefit to his new role.

He comments: "I am very enthusiastic to be working for Barenbrug. This is a company that's different from its competitors - it has stayed true to its history as a seed breeder, investing in new and relevant material and backing it up with significant trials work. I hope that my own expertise and experience will enable me to provide the products and advice to allow sporting venues in my region to flourish."
